I just realized I forgot to post about this here!
I've posted it on Burdastyle, Craftster, and as always, on instructables!
The PDF pattern and how-to are on instructables!

Hey,
I ran into your stuff on instructables today while scrounging to find a DIY skateboard table or seat. I just bought one of the Where the Wild Things Are deck yesterday and I want to make it into something for display. I LOVE the max hat! I think you might appreciate some of the work I've made...in particular the forest me and a few buddies built inside of a gallery. I also made a monster suit that we got someone to wear in the forest during the opening. I dont have any pictures of the suit up but if I find some I'll share.
Take a look here for some of the more recent stuff:

and keep in touch. I love what you have going on here.

Thanks!
The forest was beautiful! The shadows were lovely.
I checked out your blog and I really liked everything I saw. That's a really amazing body of work you've got - I'm jealous! I can't draw people at all.
And I'd love to see the monster suit if you find any pictures! :D

have you ever considered doing an art/object trade? I'm dying to own one of these Max hats....(I too want to wear one to the premiere) and I'd be down with making anything to trade with you for one. Is that something you would consider? I like the idea that it'd be a piece of "art" made by you as well as something I could wear. Let me know what you think. Shoot me an e-mail if you'd like: dklein1@ringling.edu
and thanks for checking out the work :)

so i'm geeking out about the movie as well, and ran into your pattern on instructables a couple of days ago & finished making it last night!! i'm so excited!! thank you SO MUCH for posting that :)
all my friends want them now too :)
haha where the wild things are... yay!
so I have googled and regoogled your hat pattern but I can't find a free download ANYwhere. The instructables site wants me to sign up before I can download the pdf. Do you think maybe you wouldn't mind just a little sending me a file or somethin?
If you go to step 2 of the ible, and download the PDF from that step, it'll be totally free, no signing up.
If you click the last step PDF it's the wrong one. :)
I click it and it says:

To download attached files, please sign up or login.
I uploaded it to google docs:
Totally free, for realsies this time.
Thank you so much my dear for being so kind and posting your pdf pattern in a free format. I've got my grey pajamas ready, just missing a hat, gloves, and a tail!
I forgot to ask, where did you buy your wire? A hardware store, a craft store?
Thanks!
I'm in love with everything you post on here! and I'm making this max hat. :) thank you sooooo much!
